Lone Grave

Some of Nevada County's historic landmarks have been developed as State Historic Parks; we've listed those below.

The towns of Nevada County are historic in themselves, and you'll find bronze historic plaques mounted on many buildings around the County.

Other landmarks are a bit harder to find, like this tiny pioneer child's lone grave and memorial, located a few miles up Highway 20 from Nevada City.

The Nevada County Historical Landmarks Commission has published a book of landmarks, complete with maps and photographs. Information is available at the Commission section of our Website.
