The Nevada County Airport plays a vital role in the economic and recreational health of Nevada County.
The airport is home to many types of aircraft including homebuilt, commercial charter, ultralight, and private. Additionally, the airport is home to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Grass Valley Inter-Agency Air Attack Base.
The airport hosts the Nevada County Airfest each summer with a wide variety of activities for all ages. The
Golden Empire Flying Association and the local
Experimental Aircraft Association #1175 are among the many groups of aviation enthusiasts who utilize the airport.

Our airport will continue to be an important component of Nevada County's transportation infrastructure for many years to come.
The Nevada County Airport Commission reviews and recommends action on Airport policy matters, operations and development to the Board of Supervisors.
