Business property accounts will be reviewed annually by the assessor, using a number of factors, to determine who is eligible for this program. Those businesses qualifying are then added to the DirectBill program by the assessor. Businesses cannot themselves decide to join the program, though they can decide not to stay in the program.

The Proposed Assessment Value is the assessor's determination of the value of your property, not your tax amount. The Tax Collector will calculate the taxes you owe based upon this value. Your taxes will be about 1% of this assessment value.

The Qualified Applicators License is required to perfrom pest control work for hire. The California Department of Pesticide Regulation Website will have an application and information on each license. (That link will open in a new browser window.)

Vacation rental of a home for less than 30 days in duration for one (1) family is allowed in single-family residences, providing the following is met:
a) The home shall have only one kitchen.
b) No signs on the property indicating the home may be rented as a vacation home for less than 30 days are allowed.
c) The operator of the vacation home shall pay the appropriate Trnasit Occupancy Tax to the County Tax Collector.
d) The property shall be up to all County codes,
