Annual Voided Parcel Number Reports Summary reports of all parcel numbers which have been voided over the past year, ending June 30, 2008, are now available online. Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) are created and used by the Assessor to identify and track property and ownership. These numbers are also used widely by the public, real estate and construction industries to identify and track property.
The APN numbers are most commonly voided (to a new number, or numbers) when a parcel is split or combined with other parcels, when a Tax Rate Area (TAC) line splits a parcel or when an Assessor Parcel Map Book becomes too crowded and needs to be split into multiple Books.
