To comply with DTSC regulations, the Nevada County Department of Sanitation implemented a recycling program for CRT containing items. Any individual delivering items containing CRTs to the McCourtney Road Transfer Station must declare them so they may be appropriately handled. These items are collected, handled and then transported for recycling. However, the rural transfer stations located in the Town of Washington and North San Juan will not accept these items. Waste Management is not able to accept these items with their service.
