The Information and General Services Department maintains vital infrastructure and related services to enable county employees to serve the citizens of Nevada County. There is a framework of support hosted by the organization including:

- Facilities
- Capital assets
- Purchasing
- Printing, copying and scanning services
- Emergency Services (OES)
While most of the services are internal to the County government, there is direct public interaction in some areas including MyNevadaCounty.com, Geographic Information Services (GIS) maps, purchasing, and building use.
