The Nevada County Veterans Services office: Is a liaison agency for veterans, their widows, and dependents. Is responsible for advising persons seeking benefits, filing of applications, securing evidence and documents, and forwarding completed claims to the appropriate agency. Assists veterans with changes of status, compensation and pension claims, educational benefits, insurance claims, disability claims, hospitalization, fee basis and burial benefits.
Our Mission Statement:
To promote the interests and welfare of veterans, their dependents and survivors and to enhance their quality of life through counseling, claims assistance, education, advocacy and special projects.
