Nevada County Adopt-A Road Program Interested in cleaning up trash along one of Nevada County's maintained roads? The process is simple. Just give Kim Williamson a call at 265-1411. She will let you know if the road and road section you are interested in is available to adopt, as there is a waiting list.
If the road is available, the individual or group submits an application and pays a deposit of $100 for the purchase and placement of their recognition signs. The applicant's commitment is to pick up litter on their adopted road at least four times per year. So call Kim and see how you can become involved in this fun, educational and worthwhile program.

When you drive around Nevada County, at least part of your journey will take place on roads and bridges engineered, built and maintained by the Public Works Department. Other road-related issues like Encroachment and Oversize Vehicle Permits are also handled by Public Works.
The Gold Country Stage transit system is also a division of Public Works. You can get all the information you need about our bus system
