Mission StatementThe mission of the Nevada County Boat Patrol is to - Promote boating safety
- Enforce the local, state and federal laws upon the waterways.
Services to Citizens- The Boat Patrol investigates both injury and non-injury boating accidents
- Issues citations and warnings to boaters
- Assists numerous disabled vessels while on the waterways
- With the assistance of reserve deputies, regular deputies patrol the waterways of Nevada County during the summer season. The areas patrolled from the Truckee office are Donner Lake, Boca Reservoir, Prosser Reservoir, and Jackson Meadows Reservoir.
- The Nevada City area includes Scotts Flat, Englebright, Rollins, Combie, Lake Wildwood, Lake of the Pines, Spaulding Lake, and high country lakes.
