State of Tobacco Report Released

State-by-state report from the American Lung Association.

On January 10 2008, the American Lung Association released its annual State of Tobacco Control Report, which grades each state on four key tobacco control areas: Tobacco Prevention and Control Spending, Smokefree Air, Cigarette Tax, and Youth Access. Below are the grades for California:

Tobacco Prevention and Control Spending: F
Smokefree Air: A
Cigarette Tax: D
Youth Access: A
