Veterans Services Office

The Nevada County Veterans Services office:

  • Is a liaison agency for veterans, their widows, and dependents.
  • Is responsible for advising persons seeking benefits, filing of applications, securing evidence and documents, and forwarding completed claims to the appropriate agency.
  • Assists veterans with changes of status, compensation and pension claims, educational benefits, insurance claims, disability claims, hospitalization, fee basis and burial benefits.

    Our Mission Statement:

    To promote the interests and welfare of veterans, their dependents and survivors and to enhance their quality of life through counseling, claims assistance, education, advocacy and special projects.
