Department of Energy DOE Weatherization ProgramDepartment of Energy (DOE) Direct formula grant over approximately twenty seven months.  The objective of this program is to create jobs and weatherize and implement energy efficient measures for low-income households.  Housing’s current capacity may be adequate; however, Housing is currently analyzing the program requirements.  Received State Contract Agreement No. 09C-1826 and first $60,000 allocation from DOE approved by Board on 6/16/09. This allocation is intended for ramp-up efforts to prepare for program implementation (train employees and purchase equipment).$975,734$975,734$60,000
Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) These funds are non-competitive and based on a formula distribution method.  The best that can be determined at this point is that the funds will be channeled through the existing County CSBG program.  Apparently the intent is to create jobs through designation of a local project.  Normally CSBG projects must support activities / services for low-income households or members of vulnerable populations.  Information regarding project eligibility criteria and guidelines has not been released.  There is a potential competitive CSBG NOFA release.$116,419$116,419$0
